Aquaculture UK Exhibition 2018: aqua challenges 2018

From 23 to 24 of May, BernAqua was present at the 2018 Aquaculture UK Exhibition in Aviemore in Scotland, an important and truly international trade venue for the aquaculture industry.

Aquaculture UK is the most important aquaculture exhibition and conference held in the British Isles. Over two days aqua professionals from around the world have a valuable opportunity to network, discover new products and meet the decision makers. This year over 1 000 visitors attended the event.

Aquaculture Industry Trends in 2018

This year, Aquaculture UK highlighted the latest fishing and fish farming methods available to producers in the Middle East. The event focused on hatcheries, fish farming, fishing equipment, processing methods such as fish skinning and scaling, fish feed, diagnostic services and more…

BernAqua professionals noticed that Northern Europe is mainly focused on salmonid production. Although salmon ingests big feed particles from the very beginning of their external feeding regime, our experts experienced a growing interest for high-quality feeds with smaller particles (500-600 microns). Therefore, BernAqua, specialised in hatchery feeds with particles from 5 to 1000 microns, could successfully reinforce its presence on the northern markets.

Last but not least, BernAqua had a chance to have a co-exhibiting booth together with FFF (FishFarmFeeder) and thus, to demonstrate the enhanced synergy between our feeds and FFF’s offer. This collaboration adds a new dimension to our clients’ activities by providing them with an end-to-end service and an outstanding support. The complementarity of our solutions confirms our common vision, introduced for the first time during Larvi 2017.
